Salesforce spent Dreamforce this week handing its AI agents job titles and a 240 million contact database. Clay just got a hundred and fifteen million reasons to keep building the tool half your list already runs. And your pipeline is probably leaking somewhere nobody is watching, the handoff between reps.
THE SIGNAL
Salesforce's New Outbound Agent Just Got 240 Million Contacts for Free

At Dreamforce this week Salesforce rolled out a portfolio of “job-ready” Agentforce agents, including Hunter, an outbound sales agent built on a new long-horizon runtime that can work a pipeline for weeks at a time. The bigger move landed today: Apollo is now a flagship data partner for Hunter, meaning any Salesforce customer can research accounts and enrich contacts against Apollo's 240 million person database natively, no separate subscription required. If your team already pays for both tools, the seat you're paying for just got a lot more useful.
Clay Just Raised $115M at a $7.1B Valuation
Clay closed a $115 million Series D led by Wellington Management, more than doubling its valuation to $7.1 billion in about a year. The company now serves 17,000-plus customers including 80 percent of the Forbes AI 50. This isn't a new tool asking for your attention, it's confirmation that the enrichment and outreach layer most SDR teams already build on is getting more capital and more roadmap, not less.
A Helsinki Startup Wants to Replace Your CRM Entirely
Zero raised a $10.3 million seed round backed by the founders of Lovable and Supercell to build what it calls a GTM operating system meant to replace the CRM instead of sitting on top of it with AI agents bolted on. It's early and unproven against Salesforce and HubSpot's install base, but the bet from a stacked founder list is that most CRMs were built for record-keeping, not for agents that need to act.

THE PLAY
The Handoff Evidence Packet

Pipeline Playbook made a case worth stealing this week: most pipeline decays at the handoff, not at qualification. The real problem isn't communication, it's evidence transfer between whoever created the deal, whoever accepts it and whoever has to work it next. Every handoff should carry six fields, no exceptions, gated by handoff type.
1. Source and trigger: what actually started this deal, in one sentence.
2. Account thesis: why this account, why now, in the buyer's own words when they exist.
3. Buyer-confirmed problem evidence: a quote or fact the buyer stated, not what you assumed.
4. Stakeholder map: who's confirmed, who's missing, named explicitly.
5. Interaction history: every touch that matters, not the whole activity log.
6. Next action, labelled: buyer-owned or seller-owned, so nobody has to guess who's up next.
The gate: no deal moves stages without all six fields filled. Missing fields get marked MISSING, not skipped, so gaps show up instead of hiding in a clean-looking CRM record.
The Prompt:
“Here are my last five SDR-to-AE handoff notes for closed or stalled deals. For each one, fill in these six fields using only what's written in the note: source and trigger, account thesis, buyer-confirmed problem evidence, stakeholder map with who's missing, interaction history and next action labelled buyer-owned or seller-owned. Anything not stated in the note gets marked MISSING, don't infer or assume it. Then tell me which field was MISSING most often across all five. NOTES: [PASTE]”THE UPGRADE
Granola: The AI Notepad for Reps in Back-to-Back Meetings
What it replaces: the blur after back-to-back calls, forgetting what you agreed to, dropping follow-ups, scrambling to write notes before the next meeting starts. Granola is my personal favorite AI notepad that transcribes in the background while you stay present in the conversation. No bots join your call. No disruptions.
Who it's for: sales teams who want every deal detail, next step and commitment captured without losing focus on the person across the table.
Why now: Granola turns conversations into clear summaries and action items, integrates with your CRM and lets you chat across all your meeting notes to prep and follow through.

Dictantor is an on-device iPhone voice notebook that records, transcribes and searches your meeting notes without sending anything to the cloud.
Zero just raised $10.3M to build a GTM operating system meant to replace the CRM outright, backed by the founders of Lovable and Supercell.
