This week: a free AI call coaching workflow you can set up in 5 minutes (no Gong required), plus an AI native CRM that builds itself, and why AI adoption just doubled to 63%.

Let’s hit it.

THE SIGNAL

AI Adoption Just Doubled. Here's What the 63% Know That You Don't.

The 2026 State of Sales report dropped and the headline number is hard to ignore: AI adoption in sales nearly doubled from 34% to 63% in just 12 months. C-suite leaders ranked AI as their #1 growth tactic.

But here's the more interesting stat: over 80% of B2B sales teams using AI report measurable revenue growth. Only about two thirds of manual only teams can say the same.

The gap isn't closing. It's widening.

Meanwhile, Salesforce, HubSpot, and Google all shipped AI agents in the same week. Salesforce retired Journey Builder and replaced it with autonomous agents. HubSpot's Breeze Agent moved into marketing execution. Google shipped a free brand building suite including video creation and an enterprise agent platform.

This wasn't a coincidence. It's the industry declaring that the copilot era is over. AI isn't suggesting what to do anymore. It's doing it.

What it means for you: if you haven't started experimenting with AI in your daily workflow, you're now in the minority. And that minority is leaving revenue on the table.

THE PLAY

The Conversation Coach: Build an AI Call Coaching Workflow in 5 Minutes

Gong costs $100+ per seat. Chorus isn't cheap either. And most reps don't even use the insights their company pays for because the dashboards are built for managers, not sellers.

Here's the thing: you can build a better coaching loop for free. One that actually helps you improve, not just judge you after the fact.

This workflow takes 5 minutes to set up and 5 minutes to run after every call. By the end of the week, you'll have more self awareness about your selling habits than most reps get in a quarter.

What you need:

  • Any call recording (Zoom, Teams, Google Meet, or your phone's voice recorder)

  • ChatGPT, Claude, or any AI tool with a chat interface

  • A simple Google Sheet or notebook for tracking

  • A transcript (most platforms auto generate these, Granola, or use the free tier of Otter.ai)

The Workflow:

Step 1: Record Every Call

Turn on recording for every sales call this week. Zoom and Teams both save transcripts automatically. If you're on the phone, use your phone's voice recorder app. Don't worry about quality. You just need the words.

Don't overthink this. You're not recording for compliance or for your manager. This is for you.

Step 2: Grab the Transcript

After the call, pull the transcript. On Zoom, it's under your recordings. On Teams, check the meeting recap. On Otter, it's right on the dashboard. Copy the full text.

Step 3: Run The Coaching Prompt

Paste the transcript into ChatGPT or Claude with this prompt:

"You are an elite B2B sales coach. Analyze this sales call transcript and give me:

1. TALK TO LISTEN RATIO: estimate the percentage of time I spoke vs. the prospect.
2. QUESTION QUALITY: rate my questions on a 1 to 10 scale. Were they open ended? Did they uncover real pain?
3. OBJECTION HANDLING: identify every objection the prospect raised and score my response (1 to 10).
4. NEXT STEPS: did I set a clear, specific next step? If not, suggest what I should have said.
5. BIGGEST IMPROVEMENT: the one thing I should change before my next call.

Be direct. Don't sugarcoat. I want to get better, not feel good."

This single prompt gives you more actionable feedback than most enterprise conversation intelligence platforms. And it's free.

Step 4: Log Your Scores

Open a Google Sheet (or a notebook, whatever you'll actually use). Create five columns: Date, Talk Ratio, Question Score, Objection Score, Clear Next Steps (Y/N).

After every coached call, log the results. This takes 30 seconds. After a week, you'll see patterns you never noticed: maybe you talk 70% of the time on discovery calls, or you consistently fumble pricing objections.

Step 5: Run the Weekly Pattern Prompt

At the end of each week, paste your last 3 to 5 call coaching results into AI with this prompt:

"Here are my AI coaching results from 5 sales calls this week. Identify the patterns:
Where am I consistently strong?
Where am I consistently weak?
What's the #1 habit I should focus on next week?
Write me a 3 sentence pre call reminder I can read before every meeting next week that addresses my biggest weakness."

That pre call reminder is gold. Read it 60 seconds before every call next week. It's your personal coaching cheat sheet, written by data from your own performance.

Why this works:

  • Enterprise call coaching tools analyze calls but most reps ignore the dashboards

  • This workflow forces you to actively engage with your own performance after every single call

  • The tracking sheet creates accountability. You can see improvement (or stagnation) in black and white

  • The weekly pattern prompt catches blind spots no single call review would surface

  • Total cost: $0. Total time: ~25 minutes per week for 5 calls

🎯 Your homework: Record your next 3 sales calls this week. Run the coaching prompt after each one. Log your scores. On Friday, run the weekly pattern prompt. Reply to this email with your biggest surprise from the data. We'll feature the best ones next issue.

THE STACK SWAP

Lightfield: The CRM That Builds Itself

BEFORE: You spend 5+ hours every week updating CRM records after calls. You type meeting notes, log activities, update deal stages, and enrich contacts manually. Half your pipeline data is stale because nobody has time to keep it current. Your manager pulls a pipeline report and asks why the numbers look off. You shrug, because the CRM is a chore, not a tool.

AFTER: Every email, meeting, and call gets captured automatically. Your CRM builds contact records, enriches data, and updates deal stages without you touching a field. You ask "who needs follow up this week?" in plain English and get an answer in two seconds. Your pipeline is always current because the CRM updates itself from your actual conversations.

The tool: Lightfield is an AI native CRM that just launched on Product Hunt. It reads your emails, meetings, and calls to build your CRM automatically. Zero manual data entry, ever.

Connect your inbox, upload a spreadsheet from your old CRM, and everything's recreated in under five minutes. Ask it anything in plain English: "what objections keep coming up?", "how has our ICP shifted?", "which deals are going cold?" All answered from your actual conversations, with citations to the original emails and calls.

Free trial available (use code PH3 for 3 months free). Startup plan starts at $36/user/month. It's positioned as a direct HubSpot replacement for teams that want AI native from day one.

If your team wastes hours on CRM admin instead of actually selling, this is worth 15 minutes to try.

QUICK WINS

1. The Champion Rescue One Liner. When your champion leaves a company mid deal, don't panic. Speed matters in the first 72 hours. Open LinkedIn, find their replacement, and send this: "Hi [Name], I've been working with [Company] on [project]. [Champion Name] suggested I connect with you as this transitions. Do you have 10 minutes this week to get aligned?" Short. No pitch. Just alignment.

2. The Meeting Follow Up Shortcut. After every meeting, paste your notes into ChatGPT with: "Turn these meeting notes into a follow up email. Include a recap of what we discussed, the agreed next steps, and one question that moves the deal forward. Keep it under 100 words." You'll have a polished follow up in 30 seconds instead of 15 minutes. More AI sales prompts like this here.

3. The LinkedIn No Note Trick Still Works. New data from 80,000+ connection requests confirms it: connection requests without a note convert at 55 to 68% vs. 28 to 45% with a note. No note feels low pressure. If you're doing cold outreach at scale, skip the note entirely.

4. The "Before Your Next Meeting" Prompt. Copy/paste this before any call: "Research [Company Name] and [Contact Name]. Give me their recent funding, hiring activity, product launches, and anything their CEO has said publicly in the last 90 days. Then give me 3 talking points I can use to show I've done my homework." Takes 30 seconds. Saves you from showing up cold. Full AI meeting prep guide here.
