THE SIGNAL

Zoom Just Covered Every Stage of the Sales Cycle with AI

Zoom took Sales Assist, Ask ZRA and Sales Roleplay to general availability this week, and paired it with its recent Common Room acquisition. That gives Revenue Accelerator coverage from prospecting through coaching and forecasting in one place. If your team is already on Zoom for calls, this closes the gap that used to send you shopping for a Gong alternative.

HubSpot Launches Agent Hub to Fix AI Agent Sprawl

HubSpot rolled out Agent Hub and Agent Builder in public beta this week, giving GTM teams one workspace to build and manage every custom AI agent instead of juggling five different tools with their own logins. If you've lost track of which agent does what across your stack, this is built for exactly that mess.

Claude Can Now Turn Your Screen Recording Into a Skill

Anthropic's new Record a Skill feature in Claude's desktop app lets you record yourself doing a task while narrating it, then Claude turns that into a repeatable skill it can run again. For sales teams, that means you can capture how your best rep runs a discovery call or builds a proposal, and hand that exact process to every new hire on day one.

Build a Deal Scorer in Claude Code, No Code Required

Most reps still rank their pipeline by gut feel. That works until you're wrong about the deal you were sure would close. Here's a 5-minute way to build your own deal scorer using Claude Code, no engineering degree needed.

1. Export your data: pull your open pipeline from your CRM as a CSV, including stage, last activity date, number of contacts engaged and deal age.

2. Open Claude Code and describe the score: tell it in plain language what makes a deal healthy for your team. Something like "score each deal 1 to 100 based on recent activity, number of contacts engaged and how deal age compares to our average sales cycle."

3. Let it write the script: Claude Code writes a small script that reads your CSV and outputs a ranked list with scores. You don't touch a line of code, you just review what it built.

4. Run it weekly: re-run the same script every Monday on a fresh export. Watch which deals are climbing and which ones are quietly sliding down the list before your manager notices.

The point isn't to replace your judgment, it's to catch the deals your gut is quietly ignoring. A scorer that flags a slipping deal two weeks early beats a forecast call surprise every time.

Try building your own scorer this week. Forward this to a rep who could use a second opinion on their pipeline.

THE STACK SWAP

Origami: Prospecting That Searches the Live Web, Not a Stale Database

What it replaces: Apollo, ZoomInfo and Clay for the leads those databases keep missing, local businesses, contractors, restaurants and other non-tech verticals that never make it into a static B2B database in the first place.

Who it's for: SDRs, AEs and agencies selling into local or SMB markets where the usual databases come up empty. Less useful if your ICP is enterprise tech, where Apollo and ZoomInfo already have deep coverage.

Why now: Origami is Y Combinator backed and its AI agents search over 50 live sources, Google Maps, LinkedIn and job boards among them, instead of pulling from a database that's already stale. Describe your ideal customer in plain language and it builds the list, enriches contacts and can even load them straight into its built-in sequencer. Free to start with 1,000 credits, paid plans from $29 a month.

RAPID FIRE

  • RocketReach launched an MCP server giving Claude and ChatGPT direct access to its 700M+ contact database, so you can prospect right from your AI assistant.

  • Terret launched Nexus, a platform that claims to autonomously diagnose and fix broken pipeline stages instead of just flagging them for a human to sort out.

  • Clarify acquired Seam AI, folding it in to take a bigger swing at legacy CRM players with a signals-based product coming later this year.

  • GetWhys closed a $5.2M round to expand its AI native buyer intelligence platform for B2B teams trying to understand why deals actually close or die.
